Change-Makers in Focus

We want to take a moment to spotlight one of our partners, BMe Community. This award-winning network of Black leaders and innovators are working to redefine equity and reimagine how we approach philanthropy. BMe Community is nationally known in the philanthropic sector for its innovative approach to racial equity and social impact. Trabian Shorters, the CEO and Co-Founder of BMe Community, is often quoted as saying, "You cannot lift people up by putting them down." This simple yet profound revelation is at the essence of their Asset-Framing training. This approach is grounded in cognitive and social psychology principles and emphasizes that we can build equity without the stigmatization of people, places and causes.

The BMe Vanguard Awards program honors and celebrates Black Leaders by providing grants to help expand their knowledge, network, and influence in the community. BMe Community is doing incredible work to change the negative portrayals of Black people and all people to focus more on defining individuals by their aspirations and contributions rather than their deficits. BMe Community believes this is the start of how we can help fulfill their important aspirations and bring about true restorative justice. We at LHR are honored to play a pivotal role in the expansion of their team.

According to the findings, more than 3 in 5 hiring managers (62%) plan to increase their workforce through December 31, reflecting a robust and growing job market. This trend aligns with the Express Job Insights Survey results, confirming a consistent and positive hiring sentiment.
